Course One – Independent Study is a subscription-based, comprehensive online violin course offering a carefully sequenced curriculum with easy-to-follow directions via instructional videos, play-along tracks, sheet music, and commonly used music books. This program covers every step for learning to play the violin. Emphasis is placed on multiple areas including ear training, reading music, music theory, technique, and performance. Students will learn pieces from Suzuki Violin Volume One, pieces written exclusively for FVA, jazz pieces, and fiddle tunes from various fiddle styles including Celtic, old-time, bluegrass, and contest-style.
